Arianna Wingfield, Counselling Intern

Arianna Wingfield, Counselling Intern | Innova Therapy Inc.
Hi, I’m Ari!
I am completing my Master of Counselling and hold a BA in Psychology and Human Services. I am trained in Gottman Level 1&2 for couples and have additional training in core concepts of maternal mental health. For the past decade, I have worked in harm reduction and addiction services, which has deeply shaped my belief that people are doing the best they can with the resources available to them.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen—where your experiences, struggles, and questions are met with warmth and curiosity. Our work together will centre around your voice, honouring your freedom to shape your own path, beliefs, and relationships. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you gain clarity on what truly resonates so you can make choices that reflect your values.
I have a keen interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including sexual injustice and birth trauma. I am also passionate about supporting those on a grief journey, those deconstructing their worldview, or navigating major life transitions, such as shifting identities in parenthood, student life, or other transformative experiences. I work with mothers at all stages, including those in perinatal and postnatal journeys.
I integrate Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Jungian perspectives, existential and person-centered approaches, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also draw from mythology and storytelling, believing that the stories we inherit and create hold deep power.
I am committed to creating an affirming space for all people. I welcome queer, transgender, non-binary, LGB, ace, and poly individuals. I affirm all bodies and approach well-being through a Health at Every Size (HAES) lens, honouring each person’s inherent worth.
