Clinical Director
Innova Therapy Inc was incorporated in 2012 in Coquitlam. We opened a second location in Maple Ridge in 2021, and contracted with RCCs in Vancouver and on the island. Innova currently contracts with 15 Masters-level full-time and part-time RCCs and RSWs.

Role & Responsibilities
As a key member of the senior management team, the Clinical Director must demonstrate leadership, initiative, vision, analytical prowess and business savviness to drive clinical excellence and operation efficiencies in our practice.
In alignment with our Vision, Mission, Values and business objectives, the Clinical Director is committed to leading the practice along our path as a trusted, respected and leading private mental health provider in BC.
The successful Clinical Director will:
- Provide visionary and operational leadership to the clinical team, inspiring excellence in service delivery and fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation.
- Ensure the highest standards of clinical care by developing and implementing evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.
- Empower clinical team members to enhance their skills, promote professional growth, and deliver exceptional client care in alignment with business goals and growth.
- Oversee role/responsibility execution, addressing performance issues, evaluation and making strategic decisions to optimize team effectiveness.
- Maintain a minimum caseload of 15 client sessions per week.
- Supervise the Office Manager and Clinic Administrator to align clinical initiatives and values with overall business goals and support practice operations and growth.
- Foster open communication with the clinical and administrative teams, promoting transparency, accountability, and constructive feedback from a framework of humanistic leadership.
- Spearhead and drive team activities to build up team, encourage collaboration, and support for our Values, Vision, and Mission.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and best practices in mental health therapy, maintaining a commitment to quality and integrity.
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts by providing insights and creative solutions to drive business development and expansion.
- Utilize technology effectively to streamline clinical operations, enhance the client experience, and support the overall functioning of the practice.
- Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and nurture strategic community partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Management Team and third party professionals to develop strategies for promoting the practice’s services, increasing visibility, and attracting new clients, partnerships or markets.
- Supervise interns/practicum students, adhering to regulatory standards and university requirements.
Requirements
- Must be Registered Clinical Counsellor, Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychologist
- Minimum Masters-level education, and member in good standing with a BC provincial regulatory college or association
- Minimum 10 years of practical counselling experience, with at least 5 years in private practice
- Experience as a Clinical Supervisor or Team Lead would be a bonus
- Proven experience in a mental health or healthcare setting, with a track record of clinical excellence and team performance
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications and working experience with a practice management software like Janeapp
- Valid Professional Liability Insurance
- Clear criminal record check
- Valid BC driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Provide 2 professional and 2 character references
Compensation
- Annual salary of $96,000 – $102,000, based on experience and qualifications
- EI and CPP contributions

- Professional growth and continuing education training or workshops every year
- 2 weeks paid vacation, increasing by 1 week after one year
- Flexible work hours (total of 35 per week)
