Bonnie Cheng, RCC
Life is a roller-coaster, full of surprises that bring us joy, sadness, and a mix of emotions and memories. Along the way, we often find ourselves longing for someone to walk beside us, to share the highs and lows, or to offer companionship when we face life’s toughest challenge.
As a , I see myself as a communication channel, and I use play therapy as a way for children to rewrite, work through, and find their voice.
As a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), I offer therapeutic support to both individuals and families. I incorporate expressive arts and play therapy to support both adults and children in navigating a variety of emotional challenges, such as grief, guilt, sadness, trauma or processing the effects of their experiences. Expressive art therapy is beneficial both adults and children. These therapies may include sand tray therapy, painting, arts and crafts, games, and more.
I have extensive experience supporting adults and families as they navigate various life transitions, including trauma, relationship challenges, and anxiety. In working with parents and children together, I focus on fostering stronger relationships and healthier communication.
As an attachment-based practitioner, I understand the importance of secure, supportive connections in a child’s emotional development. I believe that, with the right guidance and tools, every individual has the potential to heal and grow in their own unique way.
In my free time, I enjoy zumba classes to keep myself healthy. I also love to cook and I am currently honing my skills in painting portraits.
