Lorna Demedeiros, RSW | Innova Therapy Inc. Maple Ridge & Online

You are the expert of your own experience. You bring your Self to our work, just like I bring my Self. We can find ways to activate the tools and healing you have within you.

Human beings are remarkably capable of healing through terrible circumstances. I am honoured to hear personal stories of struggle, and through listening, help others make sense of their experiences and reach their goals.

After completing my Bachelor degree at SFU, I began working with toddlers who have developmental disabilities. I then moved on to frontline work with teenagers who have mood and behaviour disorders at the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. This work inspired me to learn from families and young children, as I knew working with only one member of the family was not enough. So I completed two master’s degrees, one in Social Work, and one in Complex Trauma.

When I’m not seeing clients, I’m playing video games, board games, and going bouldering.
